In this role, you will be integral in maintaining our financial integrity and ensuring that our accounting practices align with both regulatory standards and industry best practices.
As the Manager of Group Accounting, you will spearhead the consolidation of financial statements from our various subsidiaries, oversee compliance with accounting principles, and lead initiatives that enhance our financial reporting processes. Your insights will guide our executive team in making strategic, informed decisions.
Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation and consolidation of financial statements for all group entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with IFRS standards.
- Establish and enforce robust accounting policies and procedures that ensure effective financial governance.
- Prepare comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, translating complex data into actionable insights for stakeholders.
- Review financial submissions from subsidiaries to ensure accuracy, promptly addressing any discrepancies.
- Act as a key point of contact for external auditors during annual audits, facilitating communication and ensuring smooth processes.
- Support the financial planning and analysis processes, offering insights to aid in budgeting and forecasting efforts.
- Develop and mentor the group accounting team, promoting professional development and a culture of continuous improvement.
- Monitor changes in accounting regulations and ensure adaptations to processes as necessary.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; a professional accounting certification (CPA, ACCA) is highly desirable.A minimum of 6-10 years of experience in group accounting, particularly in a managerial role.Solid understanding of IFRS and accounting standards with hands-on experience in financial reporting.Proven track record in consolidating financial statements and managing complex financial data.Exceptional analytical abilities with a strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel capabilities.Demonstrated leadership skills with excellent communication and teamwork abilities.A proactive approach to managing priorities in a fast-paced environment.Benefits
