Job Summary
The Accounts Manager is responsible for leading and managing the overall accounting function of the company. This role ensures the accuracy of financial records, compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and timely preparation of financial reports. The Accounts Manager plays a key role in financial planning, audit coordination, and guiding the accounts team to achieve organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS for SMEs and local regulations.
- Ensure timely closing of accounts and submission of accurate financial reports to senior management.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision‑making.
- Monitor company performance against budgets and forecasts.
Accounting Operations
Supervise all accounting activities including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.Ensure proper documentation, approvals, and coding of transactions.Oversee reconciliations of bank accounts, suppliers, and customers.Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets.Audit & Compliance
Coordinate with internal and external auditors during financial reviews.Ensure compliance with tax, zakat, and VAT regulations.Maintain audit‑ready documentation and support statutory reporting requirements.Enforce adherence to company policies and financial procedures.Lead, mentor, and develop the accounts team to enhance performance and efficiency.Assign responsibilities, monitor progress, and provide regular feedback.Foster a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.Treasury & Cash Flow Support
Collaborate with the treasury team to monitor cash flow and liquidity.Support management in planning for financial facilities and obligations.Provide insights into working capital management and cost optimization.Qualifications & Requirements
Education : Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.Professional qualification : Relevant professional qualification is a must i.e., IFRS diploma, SOCPA, CPA or similar.Experience : 7–10 years of progressive experience in accounting, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role (preferably in manufacturing, manufacturing or real estate development).Language : Fluent in English (spoken and written).Technical Skills : Strong knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS), ERP systems (preferably Odoo), advanced Excel, and financial analysis tools.Soft Skills : Leadership, analytical thinking, attention to detail, problem-solving, and cross‑functional coordination.Seniority level
