We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Senior Project Manager with over 15 years of experience, including a minimum of 8 years specializing in water and wastewater treatment projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in either mechanical or civil engineering and possess a PMP (Project Management Professional) certification. This role involves leading complex, large-scale projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end management of large-scale water and wastewater treatment projects, from planning and design to construction and commissioning.
- Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, including budgets, timelines, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
- Ensure that all project activities are aligned with client objectives, regulatory standards, and quality requirements.
- Provide leadership and direction to multi-disciplinary project teams, including engineers, contractors, suppliers, and consultants.
- Coordinate with civil, mechanical, and electrical engineering teams to integrate all technical components of the project.
- Monitor and control project performance, using appropriate project management tools to track progress, costs, and quality.
- Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful project delivery.
- Maintain proactive communication with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies to ensure smooth project execution and timely resolution of any issues.
- Oversee procurement processes, including contractor selection, contract negotiations, and equipment sourcing.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage scope changes, contract variations, and project documentation to ensure proper governance and accountability.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.Minimum of 15 years of experience in project management, with at least 8 years focused on water and wastewater treatment projects.PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is required.Strong expertise in managing large-scale, complex infrastructure projects from initiation to completion.In-depth knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes, technologies, and regulatory frameworks.Proven ability to manage project budgets, timelines, and deliverables effectively.Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with diverse teams and stakeholders.Proficient in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make critical decisions under pressure.Familiarity with international standards and best practices in project management, health and safety, and environmental compliance.This is a senior leadership role for an accomplished Project Manager ready to take on high-impact water and wastewater treatment projects.
