To manage and optimize enterprise-level Windows Server environments, ensuring high availability, security, and performance. This position leads strategic administration, advanced automation, infrastructure upgrades, and mentorship within the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain Windows Server infrastructure, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
- Manage file servers, print servers, application servers, and related services.
- Lead patch management, update rollouts, and maintain system health using WSUS, SCCM, or PDQ Deploy.
- Administer virtualization environments (Hyper‑V, VMware vSphere), including VM provisioning, resource allocation, and optimization.
- Implement and manage backup, disaster recovery, and replication solutions (e.g. Veeam, Azure Site Recovery).
- Plan and execute OS migrations or upgrades when necessary.
- Automate routine tasks, reporting, and system configurations using advanced PowerShell or other scripting languages.
- Deploy and support enterprise applications such as Exchange Server, Microsoft SQL Server, or SharePoint.
- Monitor system performance and capacity planning; troubleshoot complex issues.
- Ensure security compliance (patching, auditing, group policies, access control).
- Produce technical documentation, runbooks, and service-level reports.
- Mentor junior administrators and guide them through tasks and best practices.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Technical Skills
- Expert knowledge of Windows Server versions (2016–2022) and Active Directory design.
- Proficient in DNS, DHCP, file / print services, and Group Policy Objects.
- Deep experience with Hyper‑V or VMware virtualization.
- Advanced PowerShell scripting and automation.
- Backup and recovery expertise (Veeam, Azure Backup, or similar).
- Application server administration (Exchange, SQL, SharePoint).
- Networking fundamentals relate to Windows services.
- Security frameworks and compliance (e.g. patching cadences, access control models, audit logs).
Certifications
- Microsoft Certified : Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate (AZ-800 / AZ-801)
- Microsoft Certified : Identity and Access Administrator Associate (AZ-500 modules)
- MCSE
- MCSE Messaging
