Responsibilities
- Analyze market trends, consumer behaviors, and competitive landscapes to inform category strategies and initiatives
- Develop and manage product assortments that align with customer needs and maximize sales and profitability
- Collaborate with sourcing and merchandising teams to select products that meet quality standards and market demands
- Implement pricing strategies that optimize margins while remaining competitive within the market
- Monitor category performance and generate reports to track KPIs, sales data, and inventory levels
- Work closely with marketing teams to develop effective promotional campaigns and merchandising plans
- Conduct regular category reviews to evaluate performance and identify opportunities for improvement
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors, negotiating terms and ensuring compliance with contractual agreements
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, MIS, Public Relations, Retail Management, or a related field3+ years of experience in category management, product management, or retail buyingStrong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, or similar)Excellent communication and negotiation skillsProven ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teamsStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentExperience in the e-commerce or grocery industries is a plusLocation
