is responsible for implementing and overseeing infection control activities across all Diaverum clinics under the direction of the Infection Control Specialist. This role ensures continuous surveillance of clinic and laboratory data to identify and monitor healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) and potential outbreaks. Key responsibilities Investigate disease outbreaks, maintain accurate infection control records, and ensure compliance with infection prevention policies. Develop and deliver infection control training programs, including orientation for new employees. Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, risk assessments, and policy development to strengthen infection prevention and control practices across all Diaverum clinics. Coordinate infection control activities as directed by the Infection Control Specialist. Plan and implement Infection Control programs for clinics in keeping with established standards of the clinics and Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCI). Participate in in-service education programs for current staff and new employee orientation related to Infection Control. Establish and maintain standards for Infection Control that ensure compliance with JCI, CBAHI, OSHA, CDC, and local MOH regulations. Review and evaluate procedures and policies related to Infection Control and provide interpretation for Head Nurses, other Departmental Managers, and Professional Staff in conjunction with the Infection Control Specialist. Establish, maintain and evaluate a comprehensive record system for all isolated patients and determine the monthly prevalence of nosocomial infection. Collaborate with the Infection Control Specialist to develop and revise Infection Control Policies and Procedures. Collaborate with Administrative and Medical Staff to maintain patient care standards related to Infection Control. Initiate and participate in programs and projects that enhance the mission of Infection Control within Diaverum Clinics. Plan and prepare infection control reports on a monthly, semi-annual, and annual basis for leadership and required departments. Review environmental cleanliness and report concerns for resolution. Investigate significant outbreaks to identify the source and resolution in consultation with the Infection Control Specialist and Medical Director. Ensure staff compliance with standards laid down by approved international accreditation standards. Identify and address occurrences not consistent with clinic operation or standards of service that may risk patients, employees, or visitors. Communicate and complete infection control formats requested by MOH. Work with physicians, nurses, department managers, occupational health, and other staff to resolve infection control problems and identify opportunities to improve service and reduce costs. Hold regular meetings with clinic Head Nurses and MDs to evaluate and improve infection issues, including root cause analysis and corrective action plans. Follow up on pre-employment health screening of staff and monitor staff and patients’ serology and vaccination as required. Prepare comprehensive quarterly reports of infections and benchmark between clinics. Conduct regular infection control audits and implement improvements as needed. Perform other applicable tasks related to Infection Control within the scope of knowledge, skills, and abilities. Education : Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or Medical Sciences or Public Health, or any related field Must have completed special coursework in epidemiology, infection control or related coursework A recognized Professional Nursing Licensure from the country of origin A Certificate Board in Infection Control is preferred Experience : Minimum of 5 years continuous working experience in Nursing, preferably in dialysis, with at least 2 years of recent direct experience in Infection Control in an acute care setting or related facility For non-nurses, favorable to have 2 years of recent Infection Control experience in an acute care setting or related facility Demonstrated ability to lead infection prevention programs and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams Languages : Fluent in Arabic and English (spoken and written) IT Skills : Computer operating experience and MS Office skills are required This is a great opportunity to join a purpose-driven and growing healthcare organization that values competence, inspiration, and passion.
