CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage all accounting operations based on accounting principles.
  • Prepare budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Summarize current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports.
  • Publish financial statements in compliance with stipulated deadlines.
  • Conduct month-end and year-end close process.
  • Prepare monthly and yearly Zakat declaration statements.
  • Audit financial transactions and document accounting control procedures.
  • Prepare payments by verifying documentation, and requesting disbursements.
  • Liaise with banks, external accountants and auditors as required.
  • In close coordination with the Head of Leasing and Clubhouse and Services Manager, follow up on outstanding receivable invoices for services provided by their respective departments.
  • Develop periodic reports for management.
  • Document financial transactions by entering account information.
  • Recommend financial actions by analyzing accounting options.
  • Maintain accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.
  • Guide accounting clerical staff by coordinating activities and answering questions

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience as an accountant, preferably for a property management company and / or hotel.
  • Computer proficiency – Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for accounting purposes, and intermediate knowledge of other Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in the English language.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work within a team environment.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, multitasks, and delegate to team members as required.
