Project Overview

The New Murabba development in Riyadh spans over 14 million square meters and is planned as a premier modern downtown destination offering leisure, retail, entertainment and residential experiences. It supports the Royal Commission for Riyadh City\'s goal of positioning Riyadh among the world\'s top ten cities and aligns with priorities such as economic growth and advancement in technology, innovation and creativity. Bechtel\'s role at New Murabba is Early Works, Infrastructure and Public Realm, including initial setup (fencing, offices, logistics) and construction indirect activities. Infrastructure work covers earthworks, expressways, roads, metro, power, water, sewage, district cooling, irrigation, automated waste collection, telecommunications, and other utilities. Public Realm includes landscaping, hardscaping, water features, lighting and public art.

Job Summary

Bechtel is providing Project Management Consultancy Services on the New Murabba Project in Riyadh (home of the Mukaab). The advertised role is for a position on a fast-paced, challenging project, working in multi-disciplinary teams on Riyadh\'s ambitious vision for a modern downtown. The role offers opportunities to collaborate with topic experts and be supported by senior colleagues for progression, growth and advancement. The Contract Specialist will support administration of complex contract packages and / or administer simple to moderate contract packages from award through completion and close-out.

Major Responsibilities

• Monitoring of commercial performance to ensure compliance with contract and timelines.
• Drafting of letters, instructions, general notices, and other contractual correspondence for review by senior colleagues.
• Preparation of documentation and support for assessment of entitlement regarding claims submitted by consultants / contractors.
• Maintaining accurate records of all contracts and their performance.
• Preparation of regular reports on contract status, compliance, and financial performance.
• Support final account negotiation, expediting receipt of all contract deliverables and closing out contracts in line with project procedures.
