Executive Director - Destination Marketing & Activation (COR425)

Qiddiya Investment Company is excited to announce an opportunity for a dynamic and innovative professional to join our team as the Executive Director - Events & MICE Bureau. In this key leadership role, you will be responsible for the strategic direction, planning, and execution of a wide range of events, conventions, and meetings that will establish Qiddiya as a premier destination for business and leisure tourism. As the Executive Director, you will work closely with local and international stakeholders to promote Qiddiya as a hub for MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) and major events. Your efforts will drive economic growth through the attraction and facilitation of large-scale events, ultimately enhancing visitor engagement and community development. Responsibilities

Oversee the evolving DMMO Events Bureau functions in alignment with Qiddiya City's development and infrastructure growth Develop Events & MICE master strategy aligned with business goals to drive visitor expenditure and economic growth Conduct research to evaluate economic benefits and support strategic planning and engagement timelines Create an annual Events & MICE business plan as part of the DMMO planning cycle Set KPIs to monitor and measure the economic impact of events and initiatives Define and manage Qiddiya City's events calendar in alignment with city infrastructure milestones Develop a customer-centric program of hosted events targeting national and international audiences Maximize income-generating opportunities from event-related activities at Qiddiya City Coordinate events planning and execution across key internal stakeholders, including Corporate, DMMO, Districts, and Assets Align city event efforts with external bodies such as STA, RCRC, and other KSA-level DMOs Collaborate with Marketing and Trade teams to promote city events across owned, earned, and paid channels Partner with Visitor and Community Services teams to ensure exceptional guest experiences and community engagement Identify and attend key MICE trade shows and industry events for business development Build and maintain relationships with sector stakeholders to support strategic goals Develop and implement familiarization (FAM) trip programs for priority partners Lead the identification and bidding process for key MICE, leisure, and strategic events aligned with city development Play a critical role in building and managing the Events Bureau team over time Provide leadership and guidance, fostering a collaborative, goal-oriented, and innovative team environment Support professional development and performance of Events Bureau team members Undertake additional duties as assigned by the Head of DMMO, including producing reports and status updates Adapt responsibilities as required to meet the evolving needs of DMMO and Qiddiya City Requirements

15+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree in a related field Strong understanding of the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) and events sector Proven experience in developing and managing a destination-wide events calendar Well-established business relationships within the MICE / events industry, ideally in the GCC or KSA region Prior experience in the travel and tourism industry, with insight into destination marketing and event-driven tourism strategies Benefits
