Job Summary Lead the clinical pathology and microbiology department as a consultant, overseeing diagnostic testing, providing expert guidance on complex cases, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, delivering high-quality diagnostic care to patients, and driving research to advance the field of pathology at our hospital.
Responsibilities
Provide high-quality microbiology consultant care to patients in this area of medicine.
Provide consultative service as requested.
Supervise fellows, staff / assistant physicians, and residents.
Participate in training and teaching of residents and fellows; participate in research activities.
Participate in committees and other administrative functions as needed.
Perform special procedures as privileged.
Follow all hospital-related policies and procedures.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications Education
Graduate from a medical school of good standing.
Completion of required period of training in microbiology.
American Board / MRCPCH-Irish, UK, Canadian, Australian & New Zealand / DES / CIS / Diplome di Medico Specialist Italy / SCR Holland / Swedish Board / German Facharzt / Austrian Facharzt / CCST UK / Saudi Board / Arab Board & sub board / Fellowship.
Membership and / or Fellowship status in America and / or Europe or their equivalent and fulfilling the criteria for the consultant as required.
A certificate recognized by the Saudi Commission is a must.
DataFlow is a must.
Professional Experience
Min. 3-4 years Post Board / Fellowship in microbiology.
A registered member of the Saudi Board Council.
Language
Proficiency in English; additional proficiency in Arabic may be beneficial.
References
