Offer Description The Field Engineer will support the development and deployment of a laser-based system. This role requires hands-on prototyping, electronics development, and software integration, especially using Python for real-time sensing and control. The candidate should have strong field experience, be comfortable working in outdoor environments, and be capable of handling sensor integration and electronic systems troubleshooting on-site. The engineer will work closely with a multidisciplinary research team to bring the technology from lab to field-tested implementation.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

3+ years of relevant work experience in prototyping and / or field deployment.

Proficiency in Python, C++, and Matlab programming.

Experience in embedded software development and electronics troubleshooting.

Familiarity with environmental standards and safety protocols for field instrumentation.

Specific Requirements Experience in optics and laser-based sensors is a plus.

Languages English - Good level

Research Experience 1 - 4 years
