General Description of Role and Responsibilities :
- Prepare and implement the HSE management plan to support the health, safety, and environmental objectives of the company.
- Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies and procedures. Manage, develop, evaluate, and lead the HSE team to execute assigned tasks.
- Monitor construction activities to ensure required standards are met, including revisions of SOPs.
- Develop mechanisms to monitor and record violations related to HSE and ensure proper documentation.
- Document specific SOPs for projects to prevent injuries and ensure their application in coordination with relevant parties.
- Develop plans for conducting random health and safety checks on projects to ensure compliance with company policies and guidelines.
- Report non-compliance with health and safety policies and guidelines to the Management Team, along with recommended corrective actions.
- Ensure employees are trained on health and safety practices and regulations to maintain compliance with safety standards.
- Assess the effectiveness of project safety analyses and risk management methods in controlling high-risk activities.
- Review and approve methods developed by Safety Engineers to manage hazardous conditions and practices in systems, equipment, and processes.
- Review reports from Safety Inspectors on health and safety checks and provide recommendations for improvements.
- Review incident reports, including details of occurrences, locations, and times, to determine appropriate actions.
- Collect and review health and safety statistics monthly, analyze incident reports, and develop remedial actions to prevent recurrence.
- Investigate HSE incidents and injuries, and prepare reports explaining causes and responsible individuals.
- Support compliance reviews, risk assessments, and safety evaluations.
- Participate in detailed incident investigations and root cause analyses.
- Promote a culture of incident prevention for employees and visitors.
- Stay informed of relevant policies, manuals, and procedures, ensuring ongoing compliance.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills :
Bachelor's degree in HSE, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related fields.HSE, OSHA, IOSH, and NEBOSH certifications.Minimum 15 years of experience; airport construction experience preferred.Excellent report writing skills and fluency in English, both written and spoken.ISO 14001 Lead Auditor certification is a plus.#J-18808-Ljbffr
