About the Role Operational Control Centre (OCC) Development & Validation Oversee the
design, implementation, and validation
of the Operational Control Centre (OCC) systems. Ensure compliance with
project specifications, railway safety regulations, and industry standards
(EN 50126, IEC 62290). Review and validate OCC
construction drawings, layouts, and workstation designs . Coordinate with
design and integration teams
to address any discrepancies in the OCC setup. Supervision of OCC Systems & Subsystems Oversee the
installation, configuration, and integration
of OCC-related subsystems, including :
Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) Signalling & Train Control (CBTC, GoA4) Passenger Information Systems (PIS) Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) monitoring Platform Screen Doors (PSD) control interfaces Emergency and Security Systems (CCTV, Access Control, Fire Alarm Monitoring)
Ensure that all OCC systems function in sync with monorail operations for
seamless real-time monitoring and control . Installation, Testing & Commissioning (T&C) Supervise the
OCC setup, software deployment, and hardware installation . Develop and implement
testing scenarios for system validation and operational readiness . Conduct
simulation exercises
to verify OCC functionalities, including
automated train operations (ATO), emergency handling, and passenger flow monitoring . Ensure
full compliance
with operational and safety standards before revenue service operations begin. Integration & Operational Readiness Ensure the seamless
integration of OCC with train operations, depot control, and maintenance facilities . Conduct
operational training sessions
for OCC staff to ensure familiarity with systems and procedures. Work closely with stakeholders to establish
standard operating procedures (SOPs) and emergency response protocols . Provide ongoing support for
OCC performance optimization and reliability improvements .
What do we need from you Bachelor’s degree in
Railway Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field . Minimum of
12 years of experience
in
OCC operations, railway automation, or control center management . Expertise in
railway control systems, SCADA, CBTC, and OCC software platforms . Strong understanding of
railway operational safety (NFPA 130, IEC 62290, EN 50126, EN 50128, EN 50129) . Experience in
testing, commissioning, and integration
of OCC subsystems. Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and team coordination skills. Ability to work in a high-pressure environment and respond to operational challenges.
