We want a high-energy Arabic-speaking Business Development Manager to join our team to support the commercial growth of GES Exhibitions organiser sales within the GCC.
Growing our client and event base – promoting our core services.
We want you to identify, pitch, and secure new business for the Saudi Exhibitions team from exhibition and congress clients alike across the GCC.
You will focus on new business and clients GES is not currently working with and will be responsible for developing a pipeline of new business and its conversion into profitable business.
Working with approved suppliers in the region as well as internal suppliers to ensure the best margins are obtained on those services offered.
As a face of the company, you will represent GES to key stakeholders of prospective clients and suppliers, presenting the business, demonstrating its values and promoting its services.
You will also help develop the strategy to grow the business further, identifying new markets and revenue opportunities.
Key activities and responsibilities
- To achieve set sales targets for new business within GCC at the agreed margins.
- Prospect and qualify new business opportunities and build a sales pipeline; identify potential targets in the exhibition and congress sectors and ensure there is sufficient opportunity to meet targets.
- Develop proposal templates tailored for the different sectors and business offerings.
- Produce personalised proposals for clients and / or respond to RFIs and RFPs.
- Present our credentials to clients in a face-to-face environment as well as through online meetings.
- Take a consultative approach to client development, focussing on innovative ways to develop business and service client’s needs, communicating your findings to your line manager.
- Research new markets and sectors for us to approach and help define the strategy to approach.
- Work closely with the Client relations and Operations teams to review, secure the best rates for clients, and ensure a smooth handover on won work.
- When appropriate, work closely with the GES UAE Exhibition marketing team to build our brand recognition and maintain regular communication with prospective clients.
- Work closely with the account management team to widen our reach and maximise our revenue from every new client won.
- Take a participative role in the Company’s sustainability initiatives and ensure, where possible, your actions support the achievement of this initiative; reuse, recycle and replenish.
Salary
