The Occupational Medicine Specialist acts as the primary lead for the occupational medical team, providing clinical oversight and supervision. Ensuring compliance with Saudi regulations, and providing final approval on employee fitness assessments for pre-employment, periodic, or exceptional testing.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and provide clinical guidance to the medical staff conducting occupational health exams.
Serve as the primary point of consultation for complex or borderline cases.
Issue final fitness determinations (Fit / Fit with restrictions / Unfit) for employees.
Ensure all occupational health assessments comply with
Saudi Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (MHRSD)
regulations and
SCFHS
standards.
Maintain confidentiality and proper documentation of all client employee health records.
Qualifications and Experience
Medical degree with a current license from the
Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) .
Board certification or recognized qualification in
Occupational Medicine
(mandatory).
Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in occupational health, preventive medicine, or clinical supervision.
Strong understanding of Saudi occupational fitness regulations and risk-based assessment frameworks.
Excellent communication skills and ability to consult with multidisciplinary staff.
Proficiency in English & Arabic.
