Job Description LIGHT DUTY DRIVER - (ACC00009J)

Description Performs work in the operation of a vehicle to assure safe transportation of staff from camp to project location. May assist in the transport of equipment and food deliveries. May be required to drive injured / sick personnel to a clinic. Additional responsibilities include maintaining a variety of records, such as purpose of trip, number of passengers per day, mileage, and vehicle maintenance.

Responsibilities

Drive an assigned route to transport staff to and from camp to project.

Assume responsibility for care and maintenance of the vehicle.

Wash vehicle and clean interior; take vehicle to garage for maintenance and repair.

Operate a truck / van to transport meals to various outlets / sites as needed.

Maintain a working knowledge of rules and regulations involved in the safe and efficient operation of automotive equipment.

Perform basic automotive maintenance procedures.

Deal effectively and patiently with others.

Understand and follow oral and written instructions.

Maintain vehicle registration papers.

Enforce the no-smoking policy in all vehicles.

Provide transportation to staff members requiring healthcare services.

Drive departing staff to area office / airport as required.

Deliver all mails to the site as required.

Drive different vehicles for traffic registration and inspection.
