This role is responsible for inspecting, reworking defective or non-conforming sheet metal stamped parts, especially skin components, to meet quality standards and requires attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to follow instructions.
Key Functional Responsibilities
- Examine / inspect incoming stamped parts from the press line operation for defects, damage, or non-conformities.
- To identify and check parts with minor dent marks due to mishandling / transportation of the part, bur etc. and rework as per quality standard.
- Determine the necessary rework operations to correct defects or damages.
- To maintain good housekeeping / 5S activities around work.
- Follow safety protocols and procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to hazardous material handling guidelines.
- To place the parts correctly in the defined rack after the rework, ensuring they meet quality Standards and specifications.
- Continuously monitor and optimize rework processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure high-quality output.
- Use hand tools, power tools, or specialized equipment to rework the parts.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area to prevent accidents, ensure operational efficiency, and support overall workplace safety.
Education
Diploma or High School in manufacturing, mechanical systems, or industrial operations or equivalent.
Experience
0-2 years of quality checking of skin part experience in the same field.
