Are you an experienced IT leader ready to take the next step in your career?

A reputable government entity is seeking a talented and motivated IT Infrastructure & Systems Manager to oversee and lead its IT operations and technical team.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee strategies to ensure high availability and performance of IT systems
  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring to the infrastructure team
  • Evaluate new technologies and make recommendations to enhance infrastructure capabilities
  • Establish and enforce IT policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Oversee budgets and resource allocations for IT infrastructure initiatives
  • Collaborate with other departments to understand their IT requirements and provide appropriate solutions
  • Lead and manage the IT Systems team, ensuring high-quality service delivery and operational excellence
  • Design, implement, and maintain enterprise infrastructure across servers, storage, virtualization, and cloud environments
  • Oversee daily IT operations to ensure system reliability, security, and performance
  • Prepare and manage RFPs, BOQs, and technical documentation for infrastructure projects
  • Manage and optimize virtualization platforms (VMware, Nutanix) and ensure high availability
  • Administer Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange, and Microsoft Cloud services
  • Collaborate with vendors, service providers, and internal departments to deliver IT solutions aligned with organizational goals
  • Support and supervise network infrastructure (LAN / WAN, switches, firewalls, routing)
  • Mentor and develop IT team members, fostering a culture of growth and accountability
  • Ensure compliance with government IT policies, cybersecurity standards, and best practices

    • Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in IT systems and infrastructure management
  • Proven hands‑on expertise in VMware, Nutanix, Windows Server, Exchange, and Cloud platforms (Azure / AWS)
  • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals and IT security principles
  • Demonstrated experience in writing RFPs, preparing BOQs, and managing technical projects
  • Recognized certifications such as VCP, NCP, MCSE, Azure Administrator, or CCNA / CCNP are an advantage
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills
