High Voltage Testing Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled High Voltage Testing Engineer to join our dynamic team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in electrical engineering with a specific focus on high-voltage systems. This role involves conducting tests on high-voltage equipment, particularly in GIS substations, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and troubleshooting any issues that arise during testing. The successful candidate will work closely with project managers and other engineers to develop testing protocols and ensure that all equipment meets regulatory and quality standards. A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to safety and quality are essential in this role, especially when dealing with high-voltage equipment and systems. Responsibilities

Conduct high-voltage testing on various electrical equipment, including GIS systems and HV transformers, ensuring optimal performance and safety. Develop and implement testing protocols and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations specific to high-voltage systems. Analyze test results and prepare detailed reports outlining findings, recommendations, and corrective actions for high-voltage testing. Collaborate with engineering teams to design and improve testing methodologies for high-voltage applications, focusing on GIS substations and other HV systems. Ensure that all testing activities adhere to safety regulations and best practices, particularly when handling high-voltage equipment. Provide technical support and guidance during the installation and commissioning of high-voltage systems, ensuring all tests are executed correctly. Identify and troubleshoot issues in high-voltage equipment and systems, ensuring prompt resolution to maintain operational efficiency. Maintain accurate records of testing activities and equipment performance, ensuring all documentation is up to date for compliance purposes. Participate in training and development programs to stay updated on the latest technologies and industry standards related to high voltage testing. Skills

Preferred Candidate

Minimum of 5 years of experience in high-voltage testing or a related field, specifically with GIS systems and HV equipment. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and technical documents related to high-voltage systems. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality and safety in high-voltage environments. Proficient in using testing equipment and software related to high-voltage applications, particularly for GIS substations. Possession of relevant certifications for high-voltage testing, whether from a recognized authority or third-party organization. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying issues in high-voltage systems.
