Wastewater Treatment Plant Maintenance Worker (Full-Time) – Sanitary Engineer’s Office

Overview

Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, performs semi-skilled and skilled maintenance tasks associated with the installation and repair of plant equipment, pump stations and related equipment repairs, and performs preventive maintenance tasks. Duties may be corrective emergency repairs of the plant mechanical / electrical equipment when required. Must be able to diagnose failed mechanical and electrical equipment components in a safe manner. Maintain and repair pumps, collectors, screening and grit removal equipment, values, hydraulic equipment, and all other equipment to include welding, fabrication or modification.

Minimum Qualifications

• Experience in the installation, repair, and maintenance of mechanical equipment
• Valid Ohio Driver’s License
• Ability to perform other related duties as required
• Manual dexterity, lifting and manual labor when required
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Must also be able to follow verbal and written instruction while communicating with other maintenance personnel and plant operation staff
• Must pass background check and drug screening

Compensation

Starting salary of $27.00 per hour, with potential for increased compensation if prepared to acquire an Ohio EPA Wastewater Plant Operator Certification.
