Job Purpose : The main purpose of the Operational Trainer, Crane position is to train AMHEC’s operators in the safe and efficient operation of cranes. The training stresses a practical approach with proven methods of accident prevention. Job Responsibilities
Duties & Responsibilities : Designs, develops, and conducts training programs that cover all aspects of cranes (i.e. Liebherr and Tadano) and manlifts operation (i.e. Genie, Zoomlion), including safety procedures, equipment maintenance, load calculations, and rigging and hand signal techniques. Prepares the training programs including site and rig awareness and Aramco requirement. Performs training on the basics crane maintenance such as cleaning air filters, performing greasing, replacing bulbs, replacing rotating lights, etc. Educates trainees on safety protocols, including pre-operational inspections, hazard identification, and emergency procedures. Instructs trainees, explains concepts, regulations and best practices related to crane operation. Engages trainees by using visual aids, presentations, and interactive learning techniques. Conducts physical training on the machine for multiple configurations. Uses crane topics including crane operational characteristics, load charts, crane set-up, usage of jibs and extensions, load indicating devices, structural competencies, frequent and periodic inspections, hazard awareness. Assists in the development of training materials. Demonstrates proper techniques, monitors trainee performance, and provides feedback and guidance for improvement. Evaluates trainees’ knowledge and skills through assessments, tests, and practical evaluations. Keeps updated with operation and sales departments about the sites’ regulations and requirements. Coordinates with OEM to utilize the training courses and to know the standards updates. Maintains operators’ records and shares it with the operation department. Trains the operators on how to fill in the checklists and to report failures. Travels between training locations. Performs miscellaneous tasks as assigned by his / her direct manager. HSE Responsibility : Identifies any Health, Safety or Environmental risks and recommends and implements measures and solutions to mitigate these risks. Complies with established health and safety guidelines and procedures and ensures the health, safety and welfare of self and others. Identifies and reports to management any Health, Safety or Environmental risks and makes suggestions to address these risks and cooperate with his / her supervisor’s instructions. QHSE Authority : Contribute to the QMS : to contribute to the effectiveness of the quality management system (QMS) by implementing processes in accordance with their roles and responsibilities. Participate in Training and Apply Competence : to participate in training programs to develop and maintain the necessary competence for their roles, and to apply their competence to perform work activities and contribute to the effectiveness of the QMS. Follow Procedures and Control of Production and Service Provision : to follow documented procedures and work instructions relevant to their work. Report Changes and Nonconformities : to report any changes in their work environment or processes that could affect the conformity of AMHEC's products or services, report any nonconformities and suggest corrective actions to prevent their recurrence. Qualification : Diploma in related discipline. Prior 1-2 years of related experience. Advanced experience in Liebherr and Tadano cranes, Genie and Zoomlion manlift is preferable. Excellent communication skills to adapt teaching methods and different learning styles. Ability to learn continuously and quickly and stay updated with the new developments. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. Effective Time Management. GCC experience & valid driving license are desired.
