This role is responsible for managing and producing content for and across Time Out Riyadh and Jeddah’s English language social media platforms, based out of ITP Media Saudi’s Riyadh office. A key part of the Time Out team, the Social Media Executive will be a strong writer, communicator and marketeer, have excellent organisational skills and a track record of growing audience and engagement on social media platforms. In addition to a skill for identifying emerging channels and trends, the role is responsible for creating content that drives Time Out’s brand reach while always abiding by its brand principles and guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Create and distribute daily and hourly content produced by the Time Out team across brand social media accounts.
• Ensure daily content targets and goals are met, and content is posted at newsroom speed.
• Identify the best platform for a particular piece of content, deliver it creatively and to a high editorial standard, across media including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, TikTok, YouTube and WhatsApp.
• Alongside the Editor in Chief, plan, keep and execute a social media calendar in line with the overall editorial strategy and calendar.
• Work with the Time Out editorial team to ensure our social media strategy informs and contributes to the overall editorial content strategy and calendar.
• Work with the Editor in Chief to ensure all content reflects overall content / editorial strategy.
• Devise a social media strategy that reaches, engages, informs and entertains a large audience, within the Time Out voice and brand guidelines.
• Have your eyes on the next big thing – whether a social media platform or trend on an existing platform, and quickly identify how Time Out can activate.
