Base pay range

Job Title : Material Engineer

Location : Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Work Experience : 3-4 years

Salary Range : SAR 6,000 – 8,000 per month

Employment Type : Full-Time

About The Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Material Engineer to join a leading manufacturing and construction team in Riyadh. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience in preparing and managing Material Technical Submittals (MTS) , ensuring all materials meet project specifications, consultant requirements, and industry standards. If you have a strong understanding of material approval processes and thrive in a fast-paced, technical environment, this role offers an excellent opportunity to grow your career in production and project coordination.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review project specifications and BOQs to determine material requirements.
  • Prepare, compile, and submit Material Technical Submittals (MTS) for consultant / client approval.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers to collect technical data sheets, certificates, and samples.
  • Maintain and update the Material Submittal Log (MSL) and Material Tracker for all active projects.
  • Follow up on submitted materials and coordinate responses to consultant or client comments.
  • Ensure all submissions comply with project standards (e.g., LEED, fire rating, quality certifications).
  • Support the procurement team by confirming approved materials.
  • Collaborate with site and factory teams to ensure compliance with approved material specifications.

Requirements

Education

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience

  • Minimum 3–4 years of experience in material submittal preparation within the construction industry, joinery knowledge is a must for this role.
  • Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of material approval and submittal procedures.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • High attention to detail and quality.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PDF editing tools.
  • Understanding of health and safety best practices.
