To manage EMKAN sourcing capabilities and supply chain and be responsible for strategizing and negotiating with suppliers and vendors in order to acquire the most cost-effective deals and to reduce procurement expenses. Key Accountabilities
Develop and implement procurement strategies that are innovative, cost effective and incorporate the growing complexities and challenges within EMKAN. Manage and track of the procurement budget and promote a long-term procurement cost-cutting mentality. Manage the bidding process including, pre-bid / proposal meetings, walk- thru(s), bid openings, bid tabulation and bid reviews. Perform the pre-qualification activities including examining competing suppliers / vendors against a pre-determined set of criteria. Manage the negotiation of supplier contracts and agreements to secure advantageous terms and reduce costs. Review existing contracts with suppliers and vendors to ensure on-going feasibility and to ensure viability. Approve purchase orders and organizing and confirm delivery of goods and services. Perform risk assessments on proposed contracts and agreements. Manage and oversee the IT systems that track shipments, inventory and supply of shipments. Qualifications and experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Supply Chain Management or any other relevant field (Master’s degree is preferred). Minimum of 6-8 years of experience in Purchasing, Supply Chain Management Seniority level
