Job description

The general role of the Milling Operator (VMC Machine Operator) is to measure each large and small component to ensure proper fit in the final design and to identify potential problems by understanding machine specifications and drawings before production.

Key Responsibilities & Authorities

  • Produce machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines; maintain quality and safety standards; keep records; maintain equipment and supplies.
  • Program operating three-axis machines (X, Y, Z).
  • Create programs using Master CAM or other software.
  • Operate Fanuc & Siemens controls.
  • Possess sufficient knowledge of VMC Machines (3-axis & 4-Axis).
  • Troubleshoot minor daily issues on VMC machines.
  • Translate instructions into computer commands for machines.
  • Measure components to ensure proper fit and final design compliance.
  • Inspect and measure finished products against requirements.
  • Understand machine specifications and drawings to identify potential problems before production.
  • Manufacture metal components and assemble tools, machinery, and parts.
  • Maintain safe operation of machines without damage.
  • Take accurate measurements.

Skills / Experience :

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Stress-resistant.
  • Good verbal communication skills in English (desirable).

    • Creative, critical, and curious mindset.

    Physical and Mental Requirements :

  • Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Walk and climb, including maneuvering in refinery or plant environments and accessing elevated platforms.
  • Effective communication abilities.
  • Maintain focus and multitask effectively.
  • Wear safety equipment as required.
  • Personal mobility and reflexes to perform duties and travel as needed.
