Senior Architectural Engineer- Construction Industry

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Architectural Engineer on behalf of our client. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, management, and supervision of architectural components within construction projects. This role ensures that architectural designs are functional, aesthetically aligned, and fully compliant with all relevant building codes, regulations, and project specifications.

Responsibilities

Create and review architectural designs, plans, and specifications to ensure alignment with project objectives and aesthetic standards.

Integrate innovative and functional design solutions while adhering to regulatory and budgetary constraints.

Ensure compliance with local building codes, zoning laws, and safety standards.

Collaborate with structural, mechanical, and electrical engineers to ensure seamless integration of all building systems.

Provide technical oversight during the construction phase, resolving architectural issues as they arise.

Monitor project progress to ensure architectural deliverables meet established timelines and quality standards.

Conduct regular site inspections to verify adherence to approved designs and construction quality benchmarks.

Identify and resolve discrepancies in design or execution promptly and efficiently.

Ensure materials, finishes, and construction methods meet specifications and project objectives.

Engage with clients to understand requirements and integrate feedback into design iterations.

Present design proposals, updates, and technical solutions to clients and project teams.

Maintain consistent communication with all stakeholders to ensure project alignment and satisfaction.

Prepare comprehensive architectural documentation, including detailed drawings, material specifications, and design calculations.

Maintain accurate records of design changes, approvals, and site modifications.

Provide regular progress reports to the Projects Manager, highlighting milestones, issues, and resolutions.

Apply sustainable design principles to improve building performance and reduce environmental impact.

Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to enhance design quality and efficiency.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering required.

8–10 years of architectural design and engineering experience, with a focus on large-scale construction projects.

Professional certification or licensure (e.g., RIBA, AIA) strongly preferred.

Proficiency in architectural design software, including AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.

Strong knowledge of construction methods, building materials, and architectural detailing.

Familiarity with project management tools and collaborative workflows.
