In this critical role, you will manage and optimize SQL Server databases, ensuring the availability, performance, and security of our data infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Administer, maintain, and support Microsoft SQL Server databases to ensure high availability and performance

Install, configure, and upgrade SQL Server instances and manage service packs and patches

Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement recommended solutions

Design and implement backup and disaster recovery strategies to safeguard critical data

Manage user permissions and access control, enforcing security practices to protect data integrity

Conduct performance tuning, query optimization, and capacity planning for SQL Server environments

Work collaboratively with development teams to support application deployments and optimize database access

Document database configurations, processes, and architectural designs for knowledge sharing

Stay up-to-date with SQL Server technologies, industry trends, and best practices

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

3-5 years of experience as an MSSQL Database Administrator

Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server architecture, management tools, and utilities

Experience with performance tuning, backup and recovery techniques, and security management

Proficiency in T-SQL and query optimization for effective data access

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

Strong communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams

Microsoft SQL Server certification is a plus
