Roles and Responsibilities
- Conduct all materials management activities safely, adhering to the Company’s Warehouse and HSE policies.
- Apply the Quality Management System (QMS), especially regarding Purchase and Equipment Standards.
- Manage receipt, storage, usage, return, and replenishment of consumables and capital items on the rig and camp.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of hazardous materials per company policy, manufacturer recommendations, and local legislation.
- Produce timely reports on inventory and spares usage.
- Review stock levels periodically and recommend adjustments.
- Inform the Rig Manager and Maintenance team of any materials management issues.
- Perform duties safely, using PPE correctly.
- Maintain warehouse inventory in line with procurement systems and ensure security of spares inventory.
- Properly store all items, including hazardous goods and sensitive components.
- Monitor shelf-life limits of stored items.
- Forecast spares and capital inventory needs with department heads.
- Update rig inventory system and Operational Asset Database for new or removed items.
- Coordinate materials transfers between rigs.
- Ensure all purchasing is ethical and monitor outstanding requests.
- Produce monthly reports on stock levels, issues, receipts, and financial values.
- Keep records of materials movements and inventory levels for fiscal reporting.
- Handle equipment deliveries, unpack, and inventory.
- Arrange local purchases when feasible.
- Develop a list of items for 24-hour use outside the warehouse and monitor their consumption.
- Conduct bi-annual stock audits and recommend inventory adjustments.
- Discuss upcoming rig operations with the Rig Manager to anticipate spares needs.
- Secure spares during rig moves.
- Maintain personal training and knowledge of SANAD systems.
- Provide on-the-job training for warehouse personnel.
- Participate in Rig Safety Meetings.
- Assist other SANAD units as needed, ensuring safety and quality standards.
- Prioritize health, safety, and environmental considerations.
- Cooperate with the company and colleagues to meet legal and company standards.
- Participate in strategic and operational initiatives and adapt to company changes.
- Perform additional activities as required, both on-site and remotely.
- Proactively seek relevant information to perform the role efficiently.
- Stay informed about company context and role opportunities or challenges.
- Contribute to activities ensuring work continuity in colleagues' absence.
Qualifications and Requirements
Education and Certifications :
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or similar.Knowledge and Experience :
Strong understanding of inventory management practices.Over 3 years of Oil & Gas field service experience in material handling.Job Details
