We are looking for a qualified QC Inspector—Mechanical & Welding with extensive experience in the inspection and quality control of pressure vessels, heat exchangers, storage tanks, and structural components. The candidate must be certified in ASNT Level II (RT, UT, MT, PT & VT) and hold a valid CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector certificate from TWI. A strong working knowledge of API and ASME codes and ARAMCO standards is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform welding and mechanical inspections during fabrication and assembly of pressure vessels, heat exchangers, storage tanks, and structural steel works
- Ensure compliance with international codes and standards including :
API 650 / API 620
ASME Section I, II, V, VIII Div.1, IXASTM standardsConduct and witness Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods :o Radiographic Testing (RT)
o Ultrasonic Testing (UT)o Magnetic Particle Testing (MT)o Penetrant Testing (PT)o Visual Testing (VT)Review Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Procedure Qualification Record(PQR) , and Welder Qualification Records (WQR).Monitor and inspect fit-up, welding, dimensional accuracy, and final visual inspectionsReview NDT reports and RT films, and coordinate with NDT teams for follow-up inspectionsVerify material traceability, ensuring all materials confirm to the applicable specifications and heat numbers.Conduct inspections of piping, welding joints, supports, nozzles, attachmentsPrepare and maintain inspection reports, punch lists, and final documentation for client submission.Participate in final inspections, pre-commissioning, and mechanical completion activitiesLiaise with clients, third-party inspectors, and internal QA / QC teams to resolve quality-related issues.Qualifications
CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector (TWI certified)ASNT Level II in RT, UT, MT, PT & VTDegree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalentMinimum 08 years of experience in QA / QC inspection within oil & gas, petrochemical, or heavy fabrication industriesProficient in interpreting technical drawings, welding symbols, and inspection standardsSkills
