Job description

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and implement hydrological and hydraulic studies for various projects (master plans, industrial zones, residential areas, roads, and wadis).
  • Analyze rainfall and surface runoff data using standard hydrological and hydraulic modeling software such as :
  • HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, ArcGIS, WMS, Hyfran, Global Mapper, Hydraulic Design tools, and others.
  • Develop flood maps, drainage plans, and identify potential flood hazard zones.
  • Participate in the preparation of integrated hydrological and geotechnical study reports.
  • Coordinate with the GIS team to link study results with spatial data and mapping outputs.
  • Contribute to the preparation of technical proposals and final reports for governmental authorities.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in hydrological and hydraulic studies within Saudi Arabia.
  • Proficiency in the following software :
  • HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, ArcGIS, AutoCAD, Global Mapper, WMS, Hydraulic Design, and others.
  • Strong knowledge of stormwater management and flood protection design standards in accordance with the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs guidelines.
  • Registered member of the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE).
  • Excellent skills in technical reporting and proposal preparation.
  • Proven experience in dealing with municipalities and governmental authorities for technical report approvals.
