Our Clinet is a KSA basedfoods and ingredients resellers Company isare looking for a detail-oriented and highly capable Senior Accountant to become an integral member of our finance team. You will be responsible for handling complex accounting tasks, ensuring the accuracy of financial records, and playing a key role in our month-end closing process.
The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in IFRS, practical experience with Saudi Arabian tax and VAT regulations, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. This role offers an excellent opportunity to mentor junior staff and contribute directly to the financial integrity of our organization.
Key Responsibilities
Daily Treasury & Cash Management
- Perform daily bank reconciliations for all company bank accounts to ensure cash transactions are accurately recorded and to investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Prepare and process daily and weekly payment runs (both local and international) for vendors, employees, and statutory bodies, ensuring accuracy, proper documentation, and authorization.
- Monitor daily cash balances and assist in the preparation of cash flow forecasts.
Month-End Closing
Play a key role in the month-end and year-end closing process by preparing and posting complex journal entries, including accruals, prepayments, provisions, and depreciation.Perform detailed balance sheet reconciliations for key accounts (e.g., bank, accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets).Analyze financial statement accounts and investigate unusual variances before final review.Financial Reporting
Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reporting packages.Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for financial reports.Regulatory Compliance & Tax (KSA Focus)
Prepare supporting schedules and reconciliations for VAT and Zakat filings for review by the Chief Accountant.Ensure day-to-day transactions (invoices, payments) are processed in compliance with Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) regulations, including e-invoicing (Fatoorah).Assist in maintaining payroll records in adherence to the Wage Protection System (WPS).Accounts Payable & Receivable
Review and approve payment runs, ensuring proper documentation and authorization.Monitor the accounts receivable aging report, assisting with complex collection issues and reconciling customer accounts.Oversee the three-way matching process and resolve supplier invoice discrepancies.Asset Management & General Accounting
Maintain the fixed asset register, track capital expenditures, and record monthly depreciation.Assist with intercompany reconciliations and transactions.Team Support & Mentorship
Serve as a mentor for junior accountants, providing guidance, reviewing their work for accuracy, and supporting their professional development.Assist the Chief Accountant with audit preparations, budgeting, and special projects as required.#J-18808-Ljbffr
