The Traffic-Transport Engineer / Planner will support the transport planning and traffic engineering team in conducting studies, analyzing data, and providing design recommendations for road networks, traffic management, and sustainable mobility solutions.
The project involves development of road networks, intersections, and urban transport systems within a new land development area. The Traffic- Transport Engineer will be responsible for traffic planning, modeling, and analysis to ensure efficient, safe, and sustainable movement throughout the development.
Responsibilities
- Conduct traffic and transport studies, including traffic counts, surveys, and modeling.
- Assist in planning and designing road networks, intersections, pedestrian pathways, and cycling infrastructure.
- Perform traffic impact assessments, capacity analyses, and safety audits.
- Prepare reports, technical memos, and presentations on transport planning solutions.
- Coordinate with civil, MEP / utilities, and other design teams to ensure integrated planning solutions.
- Ensure compliance with Saudi traffic codes, urban planning regulations, and international best practices.
- Support project management in reviewing designs, mitigating traffic risks, and implementing traffic management strategies.
- Provide guidance to junior traffic and transport engineers on planning and analysis techniques.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.10+ years of experience in traffic engineering, transport planning, or roadway design.Experience on large-scale land development or urban infrastructure projects in GCC countries, preferably Saudi Arabia.Proficiency in traffic and transport modeling software (Synchro, VISSIM, SIDRA, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or equivalent).Knowledge of Saudi traffic regulations, road design standards, and sustainable mobility planning.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Imagine a better future for you and a better future for us all.
