Job description

The Senior Business Development Manager is responsible for spearheading the development of all sales activities towards the achievement of maximum profitability and progress in-line with the company’s mission, vision and values while maintaining exceptional relationships with existing and potential clients in the region.

Responsibilities

  • Leading business development strategy and planning for KSA region by defining sales targets, market entry priorities, and client acquisition roadmaps, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Designing annual and quarterly business development plans, including revenue forecasts, pipeline growth targets, and resource allocation to driving sustainable growth.
  • Planning and overseeing clients’ cross-platform commercial campaigns (Print, Digital, Events), ensuring integrated delivery and maximum client impact.
  • Developing partnership and expansion plans with key industry players and government entities, unlocking long-term opportunities in KSA.
  • Monitoring and adjusting plans based on market intelligence, competitor activity, and client feedback, ensuring agility and relevance.
  • Conducting quarterly planning reviews with BD Director and team members, aligning execution with strategic objectives.
  • Supporting the proposal of new revenue sources, contributing to business growth.
  • Formulating and delivering presentations to new and existing customers, driving product sales and maximizing existing spend opportunities.
  • Obtaining and analyzing information about clients’ products, needs, problems, advertising history, and business practices, tailoring presentations and product solutions effectively.
  • Informing clients of available opportunities monthly, especially premium positions, and demonstrating how advertising solutions enhance product / service visibility.
  • Providing clients with cost estimates aligned with their budgets, ensuring transparent and feasible advertising solutions.
  • Recommending deliverables, sizes, and formats based on media used, optimizing and equipping customers with clear illustration specifications.
  • Coordinating with the Client Relations Team to ensure deliverables are met and maintain high client satisfaction.
  • Guiding Business Development team members, supporting them, and fostering a culture of empowerment and continuous support.
  • Consulting with company officials, marketing & PR team and advertising agencies to develop promotional plans, media kits, and agreements, strengthening strategic alignment.
  • Building and managing relationships with direct clients, ad agencies and PR Agencies, boosting company profitability.

Job Specifications

Education & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
  • Master’s / MBA is preferred.
  • Professional certifications in Sales, Business Development, or Strategic Management are an advantage.
  • Experience

  • 07–10 years of proven experience in business development, sales, or account management, with at least 2–3 years in a senior / managerial role.
  • Strong track record of achieving and exceeding revenue targets in media, publishing, conferences, events, or related industries.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading sales planning, forecasting, and market entry strategies.
  • Experience in managing and mentoring teams to achieve business growth.
  • Proven success in negotiating large-scale contracts and building long-term strategic partnerships.
  • Knowledge & Skills

  • Excellent strategic planning and organizational skills, with the ability to translate vision and strategy into action.
  • Strong commercial acumen with an ability to identify, evaluate, and capture new revenue opportunities.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain high-value relationships with senior clients, agencies, and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems, sales reporting tools, and MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Analytical mindset with ability to interpret market and competitor data for decision making.
