Job Description

We are seeking an Instrumentation Engineer with extensive experience in instrumentation utilized for the final control, monitoring and safety of Gas Plants, NGL Fractionation Plants, Refineries, petrochemicals plants, Pipelines and Distribution facilities, to join the Process Automation and Systems Division, which is part of the Process & Control Systems Department.

Process and Control Systems Department provides services in the field of process engineering, automation, new energy and digitalization to various entities within Aramco.

As an Instrumentation Engineer your primary role will be to provide instrumentation engineering expertise to the various Aramco entities including designing, developing, installing and troubleshooting. You will work with different disciplines such as operating sites, instrumentation engineering, facility planning, and project management. Additionally, you are expected to participate in the organization and company initiatives including safety programs, innovation programs, operational excellence, knowledge sharing, self-development and other programs as required.

Key Responsibilities :

As a successful candidate you will be required to perform the following :

• Provide support with all types of instrumentation including but not limited level, temperature, pressure, control valves, Emergency Isolation Valves, Motor Operated Valve, Relief Valves, flow measurement, level gauges etc.
• Originate and carries out engineering studies to determine optimal solutions to complex technical problems, increase revenue, reduce cost and improve process safety.
• Works with and / or leads Task teams assigned to investigate incidents or solve specific technical problems. Undertakes special assignments requiring extensive technical experience and discretion when dealing with outside organizations.
• Develops and maintains Saudi Aramco Engineering Standards, Material Specifications, Procedures and Best Practices to enhance company profitability, safety and productivity by applying and interpreting key industry codes and standards relevant to instrumentation and control.
• Reviews and evaluates capabilities of vendors and contractors to determine their acceptability to perform major services to Saudi Aramco. Acts a Company representative in technical dealings with vendors, manufactures and design firms.
• Perform technical evaluation for instrumentation quotations, and attend technical bid evaluation meetings.
• Evaluates and introduces best practices and new technologies to enable to Company to achieve Best in Class performance in oil and gas business.
• Performs cost analyses and Value Engineering studies to recommend cost-effective solutions to technical issues.
