The individual will assist in conducting audit engagements for clients across various industries in Saudi Arabia. The role involves supporting audit planning, performing testing procedures, preparing audit documentation, and ensuring compliance with International Auditing Standards (ISA) and firm policies. The position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively as part of a professional audit team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional qualification (ACCA, CA, CPA, or equivalent) – partly qualified or in progress.
- 1–3 years of external audit experience in a professional services firm.
- Good understanding of IFRS, ISA, and audit methodologies.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic accounting software.
- Candidates with experience in Saudi Arabia are preferred.
Responsibilities
Assist in planning and performing audit assignments under the supervision of senior team members.Conduct fieldwork, including testing of controls, verification of balances, and substantive procedures.Prepare audit working papers and ensure proper documentation in accordance with firm standards.Identify accounting or auditing issues and discuss findings with the senior or manager.Review clients’ financial statements to ensure compliance with IFRS and local regulations.Communicate with clients to obtain required information and clarify audit queries.Support in drafting management letters and audit reports.Participate in team meetings, contribute to problem-solving, and share audit insights.Stay updated on relevant auditing standards, accounting principles, and firm methodologies.Seniority level
