Summary
Provides architectural leadership across all digital domains including applications, data, infrastructure, and security to build a cohesive, scalable, and secure digital estate for KFSHRC.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties
- Leads the hospital’s Architecture Practice (Enterprise, Data, Infrastructure). Develops and maintains the hospital’s enterprise architecture vision, strategy, and roadmap, ensuring alignment with clinical, research, and administrative goals.
- Partners with senior leadership to ensure that digital capabilities and investment priorities support the organizational strategy and the digital health transformation agenda.
- Maps hospital business functions, processes, and services to technology components, support optimization of workflows across clinical, administrative domains and the enterprise.
- Maintains a portfolio of hospital applications, ensuring integration, scalability, and rationalization.
- Defines and enforces architectural principles, policies, and standards across all departments.
- Evaluates and approves solution designs for alignment with enterprise architecture and long-term sustainability.
- Collaborates with project teams, business analysts, solution architects and vendors to ensure the design and implementation of digital solutions meets enterprise architecture requirements.
- Reviews and provides guidance on RFPs, RFIs, RFQs, solution assessments, and vendor evaluations from an EA viewpoint.
- Creates and maintains enterprise architecture artefacts such as capability maps, reference models, solution blueprints and integration diagrams.
- Liaises with external partners, regulatory bodies, and healthcare networks to ensure interoperability and compliance with national / international digital health standards.
- Champions digital health innovations and assesses the feasibility and impact of emerging technologies in the hospital environment.
- Collaborates with colleagues in implementing data integration strategies using Common / Standard Data Models (OMOP, HL7 FHIR or others) and APIs compliant to KSA regulatory requirements.
- Participates in selecting, recruiting, training, retaining, and evaluating assigned personnel, and maintains a positive working environment to implement policies, correct deficiencies and implements discipline procedures. Delegates authorities, and establishes and maintains a formal means of accountability on the part of subordinates.

- Participates in self and others' education, training and development, as applicable.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Education
Master’s or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or any other related field is required.
Experience Required
Nine (9) years of related experience with Master’s, or eleven (11) years with Bachelor’s Degree, including four (4) years in senior / supervisory position is required.
Other Requirements (Certificates)
Certifications in EA frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, CEAP) is preferred.
