Senior Coordinator, Material

Description
The Senior Material Coordinator will be responsible for handling all project and non-project materials, tools and equipment issued to Lifting, Rigging and M&E shops for operational needs. He ensures storage requirements are adhered to, keeps inventory, controls issuance, minimum stock levels (MSL), receives back used items (e.g., Hoists, rigging / lifting tools) and manages their further processing as well as all others in compliance with Integrated Management System and International Standards.
Responsibilities
- Plan and control the materials management system for the needs of Technical Services.
- Liaise with or arrange third-party inspections for rigging equipment to ensure usability and compliance within procedural timelines.
- Ensure Lost Time safety Incidents (LTI) kept to absolute minimum according to Company KPIs.
- Identify and mitigate any risks related to materials for Technical Services operations.
- Work closely with Project and PSCM teams to ensure and plan properly for incoming projects, materials storage availability, strategic utilization of available space etc.
- Work with Lifting & Rigging management to identify and requisition required tools, consumables other materials and their Minimum Stock Levels (MSL), required storage space / conditions.
- Review MTO’s and BOM’s on engineering drawings and compare them with the issued materials from projects for any missing discrepant materials.
- Deal with any stock discrepancies or quality issues efficiently.Ensure all aspects of the Dangerous Goods Act are fulfilled.
- Maintain inventory of all materials over time and update with system (IFS and Master Tracker).
- Control all materials in / out.
- Prepare a list of goods and have the recipient sign it. Also check the quality and physical condition of the goods prior to delivery.
- Record any damage, shortage, or technical issues on the delivery note.
- Conduct a joint inspection with the recipient to confirm the working condition of the goods.
- Verify the quality and condition of the materials against the initial list and perform an operational test to confirm the working condition.
- Ensure both parties agree and sign to finalize the transfer of goods document.
- Complete all the tasks assigned to him by Line Manager on time, helping maintain discipline in the workplace.
- Maintain required procedures, work instructions and other documentation for materials control.
- Help Technical Services teams in arrangement of materials inspections, preservation activities, material handling and other activities required for safe and efficient materials management.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Receive and book goods in to correct locations accurately and timely, liaising with intercompany and planning teams for any discrepancies or quality issues.
- Support and suggest effective management of inward & outward flow of inventory.
- Ensure that health and safety regulations are adhered to within the work area and actively support the continuous improvement process within every facet of the department.
Requirements
Education : Diploma in Engineering or relevant areas such as material management or warehouse management.Experience : Minimum 15 years of experience.Willingness to operate workshop gantry cranes and forklifts.Pro-active nature, willing to learn quickly and take new challenges.Attention to detail.Good Interpersonal and communication skills.Health and Safety awareness in warehouse environment.Team working skills across disciplines and departments.Computer Literate.Seniority level
