Description
Perform technical analysis and studies related to UR drilling engineering assessments in KSA :
Safety procedures. Proven knowledge of well design engineering, pore pressure and fracture gradient prediction and rock mechanics, surge-swab-ballooning-lost circulation management, extended reach well planning, time and cost estimating, performance improvement process (i.e. tech limits, etc.), Standard Operating Procedure development and management of change, contractor performance management and preparation of drilling programs. Candidate must work well with others in a multifunctional & multicultural team environment. Able to interact professionally with Asset Teams. Ability to coordinate a multitude of contractors and equipment in a very remote environment. Practices open, honest, multidirectional and effective communication. Contributes to building an inclusive work environment. Proactively and effectively mentors early career employees.
Qualifications
Bachelor\'s degree in engineering or a related science as appropriate to the required discipline. An advanced degree is preferred and will reduce prerequisite work experience stated below by one year for master degree and two years for PhD.
Experience
Minimum of fifteen (15) years experience with at least five (5) years in unconventional plays including shale or tight gas. A work history that demonstrates initiative and innovative thinking. Prior consulting / secondment experience a plus. Skills : Advanced knowledge and application of drilling engineering principles. Good working knowledge of BHI products and services. Excellent client relations, interpersonal, communication and presentation skills; a real team player.
Software Skills
Landmark Drilling Suite (Compass, Wellplan, Casing Seat, Stress Check, WellCat, etc.) or similar and MS Office.
Duration : Full-time permanent. 2-3 year expatriate assignment.
