To manage EMKAN sourcing capabilities and supply chain and be responsible for strategizing and negotiating with suppliers and vendors in order to acquire the most cost-effective deals and to reduce procurement expenses.

Key Accountabilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies that are innovative, cost effective and incorporate the growing complexities and challenges within EMKAN.
• Manage and track of the procurement budget and promote a long-term procurement cost-cutting mentality.
• Manage the bidding process including, pre-bid / proposal meetings, walk- thru(s), bid openings, bid tabulation and bid reviews.
• Perform the pre-qualification activities including examining competing suppliers / vendors against a pre-determined set of criteria.
• Manage the negotiation of supplier contracts and agreements to secure advantageous terms and reduce costs.
• Review existing contracts with suppliers and vendors to ensure on-going feasibility and to ensure viability.
• Approve purchase orders and organizing and confirm delivery of goods and services.
• Perform risk assessments on proposed contracts and agreements.
• Manage and oversee the IT systems that track shipments, inventory and supply of shipments.
