Overview
The Planner helps the Planning lead in programme management and control of multiple projects, staff pipeline updates, reporting etc. within the region. The Planner will ensure all aspects of project planning requirements are met and adhere to the Planning procedures and Protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure Planning aspects of projects are in line with the planning procedures and protocols.
- Establish project schedules, timelines, milestones, etc., considering available resources and project objectives.
- Develop baselines, engineering schedules, revised programmes and recovery programmes including resources and cost loading.
- Prepare weekly and monthly updates and reports, project lookaheads and highlight the project criticalities. Develop and distribute project curves of progress, cost, and manpower, including planned, actual, and forecast figures.
- Contribute to Reporting, EOT claims, Critical Path Analysis and Earned Value Management.
- Collect resource data from projects across the region and update the resource management tool on a regular basis and provide reports on status.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills, with the ability to highlight key issues and communicate them to management and project teams.
- Support tender team in preparation of tender programme schedules.
- Support engineering discipline leads regarding scheduling and progress issues.
- Recognize and report potential problems in all phases of the project to Project Management.
- Contribute to the change management process by analysing and reporting schedule impacts to the project.
- Prepare engineering schedules at varying levels of detail.
- Periodically update schedules to reflect scope changes, latest progress, and delivery information.
- Assist with development of Design Change Notices by highlighting impact on schedule and assist with related tracking and re-baselining effort.
- Obtain deliverables and drawing lists and updates from disciplines and distribute compiled reports.
- Occasional travel to project locations as required.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in MS Office suites and Oracle Primavera P6.
Key Qualifications And Experience
