Testing Engineer-Generators and Motors

Responsibilities

• Should have excellent knowledge in all types of testing, handling instruments & report generation of Generators & Motors.
• Supervise and guide when performing the initial tests of the Generator and motors
• Able to manage Testing work related to service of medium and high voltage Generators and Motors.
• Provide technical advice and guidance to supervisors, Foreman & technicians
• Manage workload in testing depending upon priority, risk and customer requirements.
• Able to execute the testing jobs based on international relevant standards applicable for electrical Generators and Motors.
• Attend customer sites for providing testing services and technical guidance
• Inspect the working of RTD’s , BTD’s, Generator auxiliaries etc during the initial tests
• Scrutinize the electrical test reports with recommendations and finalizing the repair scope with QA and Production
• Ensure safety precautions are taken during the testing activities in site
• Ensure safe working environment at site and ensure that all the PPE’s are followed by the technicians at site
• Follow ATS occupational health and safety management system its procedures, instructions, and policies.
• Participate and contribute in continual improvement of ATS OHSMS and HSE activities.
• Willing to travel sites frequently.
• Experience in Generator repair and overhauling services is added advantages.
