Overview
JASARA PMC is currently seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) for the position of Specialist - Geotechnical / Hydrology Manager. This is a unique opportunity to lead critical geotechnical and hydrological initiatives within our innovative and dynamic team. You will be responsible for overseeing and managing the geotechnical and hydrological aspects of our infrastructure projects, driving strategic decisions that align with our commitment to sustainability and excellence.
Responsibilities
- Lead the geotechnical and hydrology team in conducting detailed assessments and studies to inform project design and execution
- Develop and implement effective management strategies for soil and water resources in accordance with project specifications and local regulations
- Oversee the preparation of comprehensive geotechnical and hydrological reports and documentation
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integration of geotechnical and hydrological considerations into overall project planning
- Monitor site activities and provide guidance on construction practices related to geotechnical and hydrology issues
- Engage with external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies and clients, to communicate findings and project needs
- Stay abreast of advancements in geotechnical and hydrological engineering and apply best practices to ongoing projects
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Hydrology, Civil Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred15+ years of relevant experience in geotechnical and hydrology engineering, with a focus on Middle East projectsProven experience in conducting site investigations, analyzing geotechnical data, and providing foundation design recommendationsStrong understanding of soil and rock mechanics, foundation design principles, and hydrological conceptsExperience working with geotechnical software and toolsExcellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skillsPreferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering or a related fieldProfessional Engineer (PE) licenseExperience with various geotechnical and hydrological software packagesFamiliarity with local building codes and regulationsBenefits
