Overview
The Dermatology Registrar provides specialized medical care in diagnosing and treating skin, hair, and nail conditions under the supervision of a consultant dermatologist. The role involves clinical assessment, treatment planning, follow-up care, and participation in educational and research activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Examine, diagnose, and manage patients with dermatological conditions.
- Perform and assist in dermatological procedures such as biopsies, cryotherapy, and laser treatments.
- Prescribe appropriate medications and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide patient education on skincare, disease prevention, and treatment compliance.
- Participate in ward rounds, outpatient clinics, and on-call duties as assigned.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Engage in continuous medical education, case discussions, and departmental meetings.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, medical ethics, and infection control standards.
Qualifications and Requirements
