Job Purpose
To provide comprehensive and high-quality primary care services to patients of all ages in PHM department in our scope of services, providing high-quality clinical care, promoting health education, and supporting the overall patient care plan in Primary Care centre, Telehealth and Home healthcare as well.
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive medical care to patients, including detailed medical histories, assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.
Perform clinical procedures as required, ensuring patient safety and comfort.Diagnose and manage a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions commonly seen in primary care and coordinating care with other healthcare professionals.Conduct routine physical examinations, screenings, and preventive care interventions.Provide care continuity for patients with long-term health conditions.Prescribe medications, order laboratory tests and imaging studies, and provide referrals to specialists as clinically indicated, adhering to established prescribing guidelines.Provide preventive care services, including well-child checkups, immunizations, health screenings, and lifestyle counseling to promote optimal health and prevent disease.Address patient concerns, answer medical questions, and provide guidance on health management strategies in a clear, concise, and empathetic manner.2. Patient Education and Support :Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and treatment plans.
Provide counselling on medication management, chronic disease care, and lifestyle modifications.Develop and distribute tailored educational materials on family health and wellness.Support patients in understanding and managing their healthcare needs.3. Quality and Compliance :Adhere to healthcare regulations, standards, and protocols.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with patient safety and infection control measures.Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records and documentation in electronic health records (EHR).Ensure compliance with medical regulations and guidelines in medical practice.4. Professional Development :Stay updated on advances in medical practice, treatment protocols, and healthcare trends.
Participate in continuing medical education (CME) and professional development activities.Mentor and supervise junior doctors, residents as needed.Qualifications
§ Bachelor degree in medicine (MBBCh or equivalent) from a recognized medical school.§ Valid GP medical license to practice in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.§ Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience is required.§ Telehealth experience or remote patient management is preferred.Skills
Clinical ExperienceDemonstrated clinical proficiency in family medicine or general practice, with a strong foundation in diagnosis, treatment, and management of a wide range of medical conditions across all age groups.
Experience in providing preventive care services, managing chronic diseases, and addressing common health concerns in an outpatient setting.Communication SkillsExcellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members in a virtual environment.
Ability to communicate complex medical information clearly and concisely, using plain language that patients can easily understand.Demonstrated empathy, compassion, and cultural sensitivity in communicating with diverse patient populations.Analytical AbilitiesStrong analytical skills to assess clinical data, interpret diagnostic results, and develop appropriate care plans within the telehealth context, considering available resources and limitations.
Ability to identify and resolve technical issues, troubleshoot problems, and adapt care plans as needed to address unforeseen challenges.Telehealth ExperienceFamiliarity with telehealth platforms and virtual care systems is advantageous to ensure effective remote consultations.
Ability to adapt clinical assessment techniques to the virtual environment, ensuring accurate and thorough patient evaluations.Understanding of telehealth etiquette, communication strategies, and patient engagement techniques specific to the virtual setting.Technical ProficiencyComfort and competence in using computers, electronic health records (EHRs), telehealth platforms, and other relevant software applications.
Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies quickly.Teamwork and CollaborationAbility to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with specialists, and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care through telehealth.

EnvironmentWork is performed in Primary Healthcare Centre, Telehealth Services, and Home health care visits.
HoursFull-time position with varying shifts, with occasional extended hours including the possibility of weekend and holiday shifts to accommodate patient needs.
