Job Summary

The Database Expert will be responsible for managing SQL Server environments with a focus on performance optimization, high availability / disaster recovery (HA / DR), and robust backup strategies. The role ensures the security, availability, and reliability of critical data systems while collaborating with IT teams to support enterprise applications and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and optimize SQL Server performance to ensure stability and efficiency.
  • Design, implement, and manage HA / DR solutions to minimize downtime and data loss.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain robust backup and recovery strategies.
  • Collaborate with IT and application teams to support database-related needs.
  • Ensure database security, compliance, and access control policies are enforced.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database issues, providing timely escalation support.
  • Maintain documentation, procedures, and standards for database operations.
  • Support database upgrades, migrations, and integration with enterprise systems.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of +10 years of experience as a Database Administrator or in a similar role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Aviation industry experience is preferred.
  • Strong expertise in SQL Server performance tuning, HA / DR, and backup strategies.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Certifications : Microsoft SQL Server DBA Associate (Required); Azure DBA certifications (Preferred).
