Responsibilities
- Effective delivery of site-wide logistics through the procurement of a site-wide Logistics management contractor. Define and monitor the scope of services with measurable goals around key enablers including :
- Movement of labour, plant, and materials around site in an orderly, safe, and efficient manner.
- Plan haul roads, laydown areas, external access and offloading zones to minimise obstruction and impact on programme.
- Create a secure, well-maintained site with regular weekly logistics meetings.
- Manage worker accommodation efficiently and with appropriate processes and induction programmes.
- Develop processes, procedures and induction programmes; manage supply chain and lookahead forecasting.
- Ensure logistics activities do not constrain the programme.
- Create a site-specific safety manual with first aid coverage and equipment.
- Develop, maintain and update the Site Emergency Plan; ensure effective on-site communications.
- Plan for effective signage in line with corporate branding and manage any special public access roads for plots (e.g., show houses).
- Provide an effective security management system to achieve logistics outcomes.
- Change Management : review and assess variations to logistics contractor scope and monitor the construction change management process via the Engineer.
- Permitting : ensure acquisition of all necessary permits for smooth logistics operations.
- Cost : review budgets, ensure work is re-measured and signed off per contract.
- Planning : maintain monthly detailed graphical time slices showing plot and infrastructure activities; review and coordinate weekly plans across stakeholders.
- Risk : review the detailed risk register with mitigations across site stakeholders.
- Interface : coordinate with programme consultants and stakeholders on logistics works and external access impacts.
- Communication : hold regular meetings, raise issues, provide weekly directions, and escalate with proposed mitigations as needed.
- Reporting : issue weekly logistics dashboards.
- Assurance : submit checklists for logistics contractor self-audits (QA, Safety, Environmental, Welfare, etc.).
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management or Real Estate Development.Chartership preferred.CSCS, SMSTS / SSSTS, recognized safety programme (qualified and up to date), First Aid, Lifting Supervisor Certification, Traffic management, Institutional membership.Experience
More than 20 years as a strategic and operations executive in diverse environments; ability to manage complex, matrixed teams across cultures.Prior KSA project experience is mandatory.Global experience with new business creation, investment analysis, portfolio management and industrialised processing.Line management P&L experience including cashflow forecasting, financial reporting, and structuring complex financial transactions.Fluent in English (read, write and speak).Why AtkinsRéalis
