Job Description

Reporting & Analytics (Oracle BIP & OTBI)

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality BI Publisher ( BIP ) reports, including complex layouts, data models, and bursting.
  • Create and modify Reports (RDF), Formattings (RTF), and Data Templates (XML).
  • Utilize Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence ( OTBI ) to create ad-hoc analyses and dashboards for business users.
  • Optimize report performance for efficiency and scalability.
  • Integrate BIP reports with Oracle Fusion applications.

Customization & Extensions (Oracle VBS & PaaS)

  • Develop and manage custom applications, user interfaces, and business objects using Oracle Visual Builder Studio (VBS).
  • Create and maintain FBDI (File-Based Data Import) and HCM Data Loader ( HDL ) scripts for data migration and integration.
  • Build and support SOAP and REST-based integrations with external systems.
  • Develop custom roles and security configurations.
  • Utilize Oracle Integration Cloud ( OIC ) and / or Oracle Process Cloud (PCS) for building integrations and automating business processes (experience is a plus).

    • Technical Design & Support

  • Collaborate with Functional Consultants to understand business requirements and translate them into robust technical designs.
  • Provide technical support for Oracle Fusion SaaS applications, including troubleshooting and resolving issues.
  • Participate in all phases of the project lifecycle : analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of the Oracle Fusion SaaS architecture and its underlying database schema.
  • Leverage various Oracle PaaS offerings (like OIC, VBCS, DBCS) to extend the capabilities of the core Fusion applications.
  • Stay updated with the latest Oracle Fusion updates and new features

    • Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience as an Oracle Fusion Technical Consultant.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Oracle BI Publisher (BIP) – data models, RTF / Excel / PDF templates, bursting, and scheduling.
  • Strong experience with Oracle Visual Builder Studio (VBS) for source control, CI / CD, and managing customization lifecycles.
  • Proven experience with FBDI, HDL, and Web Services (REST / SOAP) for data loading and integrations.
  • Solid understanding of SQL and PL / SQL for data extraction and validation.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Oracle Fusion SaaS data model across at least two modules (e.g., HCM, SCM, Financials).
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC).
  • Knowledge of Oracle Visual Builder Cloud Service (VBCS) for building custom UIs.
  • Familiarity with HCM Extract and OTBI security.
  • Experience with performance tuning of reports and integrations.
  • Oracle Fusion Technical Certification.
