Senior Civil Engineer - Design (Roads)

SAR 16,000 to SAR 18,000 + Standard Benefits Our client is a European multinational engineering consultancy working on a project across KSA is looking to hire senior civil engineer with Road Design Background. Our client is looking for Arabic speaking candidates based in Riyadh, KSA. Note : The applicant should have strong experience in road, earthworks, and infrastructure design. Salary Range : SAR 16,000 to SAR 18,000 + Standard Benefits Reporting : Design Manager Preferred Candidate - Arabic Speaker Key Responsibilities and Specific Accountabilities : Endorse all Civil Engineering deliverables produced by the designers and contractors to ensure that all technical designs and specifications from contractors are reviewed and in alignment with the client’s specific requirements. Review and provide inputs / comments on other discipline drawings and documents. Collaborate with the project team to ensure quality and achievement of milestones associated with the delivery process. Active participation in the various design reviews, workshops and optimization studies. Forecast trends, anticipate potential problems and difficulties meeting milestones or budget. Alert management on significant deviations from the set objectives and recommend solutions. Attend preconstruction meetings with contractors and the PCM team (if any) prior to the start of each new phase of the work to discuss issues that affect quality. Conduct preparatory, initial and follow-up meetings to establish an understanding of the standards of care desired for each definable feature of work. Chair and document weekly quality control meetings for Civil engineering works and provide written minutes. Assist in the coordination and documentation of the testing and commissioning of all Architectural systems as part of site close out procedure. Assist in assembling and forwarding project closeout documents that include OCM manuals and as-built. Deal with local authorities for data collection and approvals, where required. Person Specification – Job Knowledge / Education and Qualifications / Personal Attributes : The ideal candidate should hold a degree in architecture from an internationally recognized university and over 10 years' experience. Work experience preferably in consultant engineering or PMC companies. Good experience in road design, soil improvement design, and extensive knowledge about local codes and standards for infrastructure design. Technical knowledge of architecture, excellent knowledge of international codes and standards in general and Saudi Arabian in particular. Proven proficiency in Civil 3D, Revit, AutoCAD, and MS Office. Fluency in the English language is mandatory.
