Our client is a major bank based in KSA and Bahrain, with fast expansion plans. They are currently looking for a Head of Credit Risk Audit to perform the following : Develop the scope, frequency and timing schedule for the examination of Credit Risk Audits (Wholesale & Retail). Develop and maintain specific Credit Risk audit procedures and conduct appropriate examinations. Conduct discussions with bank management concerning the results of Credit Risk audits, including the quality and evaluation of same, together with related operations and internal controls, adequacy and adherence to the bank's policy and standards, the credit review and reporting process and regulatory requirements. Advise senior management on causes, prevention and correction of problems in the bank's risk exposure and make constructive suggestions for improvements in the bank's lending practices and procedures. Prepare written reports on activities and submit them to the Group Chief Auditor. Maintain detailed work-papers for review by the Group Chief Auditor, external auditors, and regulatory authorities. Inform the Group Chief Auditor regarding problems, potential problems, and other significant developments. Liaise and maintain a professional relationship with external auditors and regulatory examiners. Manage and direct activities of Credit Risk Audit to Credit Auditors. Deputise for the Group Chief Auditor when required. Applicants must have the following : You MUST currently live in the GCC. University degree and / or professional qualifications plus relevant working experience. Understanding of risk analysis and generally accepted accounting principles. Completion of credit training with a major international bank. Oral and written skills in English. Ability to prepare effectively worded reports and present them in a professional format to management.
