Interior Design Manager

Overview

The Interior Design Manager is responsible for leading the design development, coordination, and delivery of all interior design aspects across hospitality, residential, and mixed-use projects. The role ensures that interior spaces reflect the project’s vision, brand identity, and functional requirements, while maintaining the highest standards of aesthetics, quality, and budget control. The position involves managing consultants, reviewing designs, and coordinating closely with architecture, MEP, procurement, and project management teams to ensure successful project execution.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all interior design activities from concept to final design and handover.
• Develop and communicate design concepts that align with project objectives and brand standards.
• Review and approve interior design drawings, FF&E specifications, and material submittals prepared by consultants.
• Coordinate with architectural, MEP, and structural teams to ensure seamless design integration.
• Manage relationships with external consultants, suppliers, and contractors to ensure design intent is executed accurately.
• Conduct regular design reviews and workshops to maintain quality, functionality, and design consistency.
• Evaluate and approve mock-ups, finishes, and material samples to ensure compliance with design standards.
• Ensure all designs meet applicable codes, sustainability standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage project budgets, monitor design progress, and ensure timely delivery of design packages.
• Support procurement in evaluating and selecting FF&E vendors and interior design consultants.
• Provide technical support and design guidance during construction and installation phases.
• Stay updated with the latest design trends, materials, and technologies to drive innovation.
